GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONS. LEASES OF RURAL LAND, WITH PERPETUAL RIGHT OP RENEWAL. 26,000 ACRES SUTTON, MANIOTOTO, RTRATH-TAIERI, LOWER WANAKA. LOWER HAWEA, AND BLACKSTONE DISTRICTS. LEASES FOR THIRTY YEARS. WRITTEN TENDERS (in Bealed covers) are invited for the Sections in the Dist.i iets as given in the Schedule hereunder, in accordance with "The Land Act, 1877, Amendment Act, 1832." TENDERS : Tho price tendered must be given in writing as well ai in figuics, accompanied by a statutory declaration, together with r,ix months' rent at the rate lundc-ed, and thirty shillings fee for lease and registration, to lie lodged wit.h the Commissioner of Crown Lands, at the Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, not later than 4 o'clock p.m. On TUESDAY, 29th MAY, ISB3. Tho Tenders will be opened at the Meeting of the Land B"ard On WEDNESDAY, the 30Hi M^Y (tho following xlay), at 11 o'clock a m., when tho highest tenderer (if tho tender shall equal or exceed the upset annual rental per acre fixed by the Board) will be declared the lessee. The tenderers must appear at tho fand Board, either in person or by an agent authorised in writing, on the day on which thetenders are opened. Forms of tender and declaration (with covers or envelopes) can bo had upon application at the Crown Lands Orlire, Dunedin, or at any of the respective District Land "ffices-viz. : Invercargill, Lawrence, Clyde, Quoenstown, Swirzera (Waikaia), and N.weby. The nuin erg of the section and block, with the name of district, must be written on the covers. The letter being on " Public Service Only," and addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, need not be stamped, being free of postage ; neither does the declaration require to be stamped. Any person of the age of 18 years and upwards may become a lessee under this system. In the event of any person tendering for two or more leases, the deposit of a sum equal to one half-year's rent of tho tender largest in amount shall be sufficient, Together with the sum of thirty shillings, to p*y for the lease and registration thereof, paid e ; ther in cash, marked cheque, or bank draft, made payable to the Receiver of Laud Revenue, Dunedin. Provided that in the case of a person tpnderint* for two or more leases, such a3 ho may in the aggregate become the lessee of undor the Act namely, in the case where the lands comprised in the several leases adjoin each other- in such case the deposit j-hal be a half-year's rent at tho rate tendered for each siich lease, and also the sin i of thirty shillings in respect of each Buch lease, the fee for preparation and registration of same.
