Mr A. H. Maude, at Oan.aru, on Tuesday, sold a number of sections in Dr Fleming's newly laid-off township of Newborough, near the north town boundary, There was a large gathering, and pretty keen competition for many of the sections. The total realised by the sale was over £3000, 24 sections having been sold. The average per acre was £263.

The only property sold at Bastings, Leary, and Co.'s sale on Wednesday was a number of sections in the township of Hyde, numbered 6 and 13, block 1 ; 9, block II; 20, 21, 22, 2S, 24, 25, and 27, block Illeach containing J-acre, These were sold to Mr A. Fletcher, of JDunedin, at £2 11s each.
