London ; March 21st. The discussion on the Premier's motion for the adoption of a modified form of cloture was continued to a late hour last night, and was at length further adjourned. In the course of the debate Lord Hartington announced that the Government had definitely decided to make the proposal for clflture a Cabinet question, and to stand or fall by the result. The death is announced to-day of Sir John Nodes Dickenson, aged 76. The deceased was formerly puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

The mutton ex steamship Protos has realised an average of s^d per lb. The meat had somewhat suffered by the temporary stopping of the refrigerating machine on the voyage, and had in consequence become somewhat soft. , , . London, March 22nd. Messages addressed by the Queen to Parliament, asking that provision should be made for Prince Leopold .upon his approaching marriage, were tabled in both Houses to-day. The debato on 'the message will take place tomorrow.' In the House of Commons Mr Labouclfere , has announced his intontion of opposing the Queen's message. An attempt was made this evening to destroy theottices of, the detective department in Dublin.. A. quantity of explosive material, which hadvbeen placed near the offices, was fired, and .much damage done to tho building. No loss of life waa occasioned, although there were seyoral persons in tho building at the time of the explosion.
