A jthroahing-mill belonging to Mr Brown, of Moseiul, was destroyed by fire on Monday at the farm of Mr Thos. Miller, North Taieri, together with a large straw stack. Tho threshing was almost finished when the fire was first diacovered, and it spread so rapidly that even with the assistance of the engine, which is a traction one, it waa found impossible to save the mill. The loas is a severe one to Mr Brown, who had only last season added a new set of elevators, costing about £70, and a patent self-feeder and band-cutter. Thoro vvasno insurance on the mill.
