Royal George was bred by Mr A. Bannatyne, and is by Sir George Grey (Imported) ; dam Blossom, by Lincolnshire Hero. At the Waikouaiti and Shag Valley Show Royal George took firßt prizes— in 1877 as a foal, in IS7B as a yearling, and in 1879 as a two-year-old ; and the Bame year he was awarded third prize at the Dunedin Show. Boyal George as a three-year-old, in 1880, took first prizeß at the Dunedin and Palraerston Shows, and third prize at Blueskin In the same year amongst aged horses. Blossom carried off the first prize* at the Waikouaiti and Shag Valley Show—as a foal In 1873, as a yearling In 1874, aB a two-year old in 1875. She also took the Champion prize In 1877 and 1878, an<J .the .first prize; as best breed mare in 1878 and 1879. In 1880, Blossom carried off three firßt prizes ,at the Palmerßton ShdW'-Mor beßt tsare^wlth foal at foot, best mare with two of her progeny, and champion 0 mare on;the cround.
