AN EXPLANATION.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,— After the late grand castigation so adroitly administered to me by your sturdy, manly, faraeeing correspondent "Jus.," of Waitaki, all the way, re " jour own " of the remote region, and the Westminster Confession of Faith, I almost tremble to write to you again on any'subject. " Jus." is indeed a noble fellow, and most 'sincerely do I thank him. I wish I were only near enough to grasp his manly hand, for his grand elucidation of that dark saying of " your Tuturau , own," re the Confession of Faith, even though he did at the game time let fall a few hot bolts on my poor '• frantic," " fanatic," " ignorant," " devilish " head. Sir, I acknowledge it was grandly done, and feel quite certain that the just tribute to the sterling worth of a great and good man will make 11 Jug." my friend for ever. — I am, &c., Christian Charity.
[Our correspondent again introduces tho subject of the much-vexed harmonium fund, but as we cannot ccc what end would be served by reopening the discussion after closing it last week, we have not inserted his remarks.— Ed, O.WJ
