It Is also the Cheapest. ' The following bears testimony to the extensive patronage which Cooper's Sheep Dipping Powder had obtained at the time it was written ; but since that period the Sale has been more than doubled. ' EXTRACT from the Transactions of the Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, 1870. " An infinitevariety of proprietary and Patent Dips are now finding their way into the Market. Some of these are really good, some indifferent, and others absolutely bad. We believe -Cooper's to be the longest established and cheapest, and also the moat extensively nsed. As shown by the railway books, it appear^ no leas than 1200 dozen paokages, or enough to dip 288,000 Sheep, are sent out weekly. It is used extensively on the Continent; and in the Colonies, aocompanled by ' directions for use ' printed in many languages. As a Summer and Autumn Dip we consider it second to none, and have always used it. Its cheapness and extreme solubility in cold water >partioularly recommend it for these purposes." From Me 8. WILTSHIRE, M.R.0.V.5., Pietormaritzburg, Chief Veterinary Surgeon to the Colony of Natali ""Si ir Sheep Dipping Powder is now well known allj over this country, and it is faßt superseding, the Carbolic Sheep Wash and other {things. I find that all the Wholesale Merchants import It, and supply the Stores they deal with. We now have very little Scab left, whilst two years ago wehad not a sheep in the colony free from Scab. Frem JAMES ALEXANDER, Esq., Wanganul, New Zealand. TofMrW. Cooper, M.8.0.V.5. ' January 23rd, 1878. 11 Four years ago a merchant in Wanganul, New Zealand, had eight cases of your Sheep Dipping Powder, which he asked me to buy. Not having used it before, I hesitated to try It on a large scale, so I to >k a few packets, and dissolved them according to your directions and filled .my, dipping bath, which is about five feet deep. I then selected some old ewes, for the experiment, caring but little whether I killed them or not. I made them jump nto the bath, and those that did not go over the head in^thc' liquid were pushed under by i man with a stick. I allowed them to remain in the dip about the time you prescribe and then let them walk out, which, by the construction of our bath, fchev were enabled to do. They stood on the dripping board until dry, and were then turned out to grass, end not one of them was injured in the least. This experiment proved to me that your Dipping Powder could be used with safety on a large scale, so I purchased the eight cases ot Powder already referred to and dipped my whole flock, numbering ten thousand sheep, in the same way, and did not lose one. I dipped for Lice, which had been very bad in m> flock for years ; and I have now got entirely clear of them through the use of your Powder. I still dip every year, aa I think your preparation fosters the growth of wool. I have not seen your dip tried for Scab, but have been told by my neighbours that it ia as good for scab as it is for lice. •■ Extract from letter from Mr T. MIDDLETON, Manager for Hon. Robert Campbell, Benmore Station, Waltaki. " It is the best dip for lambs I have ever used." Eaoh Packet of the Powder is sufficient for dipping fronv-SO.to 30 Sheep, according to their size and the length of fleece.
