Mrs Hampson's Mission.
REVORT OF EXEOUIUVE COMMITTEE. The public mission was opened at the Garrison Hall on Sunday evening, April 24th, and. was oontinuod for 10 nkomslvb nighty three ef tlw gervlco? being fry
"praise," "believers," and "converts" particularly. The attendance rose from 2500 to 3500 persons. The after-meetings for inquirers varied in numbers, but every day several were brought to decision, and many led to deeper thoughtfulness about Christ. Over 800 have signed the temperance pledge, and over 350 have filled in the " convert's ticket." These tickets will bo forwarded to the ministers of the churches adopted by those who received them. But it is well that it should be clearly understood that many are likely to prove cases of reconsecration rather than of o>rjinal conversion. . „ , . The thanks of the Committee arc specially due to tho choir, the stewards, and the Secretary, who have given so much time and labour to the mission. In remembrance of the Secretary's services, the Committee have presented him with Farrar's " Life of Christ and the "Bible Educator." As will be seen from the Treasurer's account, the generosity of Christian friends has not only mot the heavy expenses, but enabled the Committee to offer Mrs Hampson some substantial memorial of her happy work in our midst. (Signed) J. Upton Davis, Chairman. E. Best, Vice-chairman. Dnnedin, 4th May, 18&1.
