We learn that the number of gentlemen who, while under the influence of dark and blue eyed enchantment, were swindled by the lovely young ladies who stood among the useful and elegant ornamental articles of various hues and materials, which were sent by beauteous old ladies and "sour old gents " to this grand fair to be sold for the benefit of the indigent portion of thia wealthy community, exceeded that of the ladies by 1000 ; the number of ladies who went to see how the pretty amateur saleswomen would manage their stalls was greater than that of the boys by 5000 ; and 2000 more boys than girls visited this grand show, and we believe that the amount spent by the gentlemen was about 10s each, and that the ladies and children spent 2s 6d and Is 6d each respectively.
