INTERCOLONIAL.
(Ketjter's Special.) l Melbourne, August 23rd. Captain Thomson, of the barque Trochrague, has been sentenced to three months' imprisonment for neglecting to rescue the crew of a catamaran in the Java Seaa whilst on the voyage to this port. Petitions have been lodged against the elections of Dr Madden for Sandridge, and Mr D. Gillies for Rodney.
