" Switcher."
There were a few minor lines of attack for Black not played in the recent " 29-25 " match. The following variations, by Mr Wylliq, embrace the most promising' of these, and may be said to complete tho play for a draw after the " 29-25 " move in the " Switcher :"—
(i) Mr Martins also had a draw prepared on this lino ; his play at this point being 18-15 :—: — 18 15 10 6 14 8 7 14 25 IS 1 19 4 11 Drawn. In the interesting- variations which now follow, Mr Wyllio forces a draw for White when two men down. This supplementary play, as also his games in the match, shows how thoroughly he had mastered the. theory of the defence after the " 29-25 " move ;—
