AUSTRALIA CRICKETERS. London, August 4th.
The cricket match, Australians versus Gloucestershire County Eleven, at Clifton, was resumed to-day, when the Home team went in for their second. innings, and were all disposed of for 97 runs, the Australians thus scoring another victory by 68 runs. Spofforth took seven wickets. The Australians will play at Sunderland on the 12th. London, August sth. The Australians commenced to-day a match against Eighteen of the Hunslet Club, at Hunslet, near Leeds. The Home team went in first, and scored 75 runs. The Australians then went in, and were all disposed of for 65, the bowling of the Hunslet men being dead on the wicket and doing great execution. The weather was showery during the day, and the ground consequently dead. London, August 7th. The match was resumed to-day. The Home team went in for their second innings, and were all out for 93 runs. The Australians then went in for their second innings, and lost two wickets for 94 runs. Bannerman was caught, after making 55 runs. The Australian team won the match by eight wickets.
