HINDON. (from our own correspondent.) July 31st.
A married woman at Mount Allan received a very serious wound from the shot of a gun on Tuesday last. It is said that while the gun lay on the table in the tent, her own ohild was amusing itself with it, when the charge exploded and entered the woman ship. A young man named A. M'lntyre had a narrow escape from a fall of earth while working in a cutting opposite the Hindon railway camp on Wednesday last. He is severely crushed. A sad accident also happened to a man known here as Bob. It Beems he was carrying up " tucker " from the Government stora on Wednesday, when he tumbled over a very steep bluff at Little Mount Allan. He was nut picked up until Thursday morning. Several boneß are broken. # I hear of a marriage about to be celebrated between a pair, both in easy circumstances, and moving in the middle grade of our Hindon Booiety. It will cause not a little excitement in our dull, monotonous life, and is expected to be a grand turn out. •' Mr Hegarty has very kindly promised his new building for the occasion.
