Subscriber, Cromwell. — In the last Auckland Cup Ariel won with Bst 101b ; Laertes (Cst), 2nd ; Balmoral (6st 71b), 3rd. X. Y. Z., Caversham. — Rosy Cross is by Rosierucian. There is a daughter of this sire in Canterbury at the stud. A Subscriber. — A horse that has won an unadvertised hurry-scurry can certainly run for a Maiden Plate. See Dunedin Jockey Club rules.
