IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by " The Protection of Animals Act, 1873," and " The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," I, Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the season in which the native game specified in the Schedule hereto shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed in the Provincial Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Taranaki, Marlborough, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland, excepting within the County of Grey, shall be from the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, until the thirty -first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, botti days inclusive.
