Up to noon to-day the firing had been very protracted, and it was then decided to resort to progressive firing, and by this means a considerable saving of time was effected, and the fourth match was completed at 4 p.m. First Match.— Any member. Ranges, 200, 400, and 600 yards ; seven rounds at each distance. Open to all members of the Association. Snider and muzzle-loading Enfleld rifles or carbines. First prizo, £10 ; second, £9 ; third, £8 ; fourth, £7 ; fifth, £6 ; sixth, £5 ; seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth, £3 each; eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth, £2 each ; seventeenth to twenty-fourth, £1 each. 200 400 500 yds. yds. yds.
