On Saturday last the first contest of'ths season took place on the green at Fernhill, between the. j Fernhili Bowling Club and the Dunedin Bowling .Club, resulting in, a victory for the Fernhill The Dunedin Bowling Club were represented by three of their best rinks, and it was fully expected they 17 would hay» gained^ the day, but; owing to the determined stand and carjaful play of the skipß of theFemihill Glub, the match was won by twopointa. -We append the scores i ■ t Fok FBRMaux.
