ACCIDENTS AT OAMARU.

Oamaru, November 10th.

A very serious accident happened to-day to a man named James O'Brien. He was engaged with another man in cleaning a well near the town boundary, and while at the bottom the lining gave way about 15ft above him, aud fell on hia head, inflicting dreadful injuries. Assistance was procured, and the unfortunate man was drawn up in an insensible state, and was attended to by Dr De Lautour.
