The sale of Crown lands, as advertised in the Times and Witness, in the Waikaka, Waipabi, Chafctnn, Greenvale, Glenkenich, Crookston, and Slopedown districts, and the townships of Clinton, Waipahi, Kel-so, Waikaia, andEist Gore, was held yesterday at Green's Assemblyroom by Mr R. B. Martin, Government auctioneer. The morning was anything but tempting for buyers to put in an appearance, but a number present had evidently come some distance to secure their special lots.
