SECOND REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS OF GUTHRIE & LARNACH'S "YTEW ZEALAND TIMBER AND ■^ WOODWARB FACTORIES COMPANY (LIMITED), FOE THE NINE MONTHS ENDING 31si DECEMBER, 1878. Headquarters : Dunedin. Capital : £250,000 ; Subscribed, £210,655 ; Paid up, £206,542 10s. Dirkotors : Walter Guthrie, fieq. W. J. M. Larnach, iisq. George Septimus Brodrick, Esq. Kobert U a worth, Esq. James Robin, iisq. Bankers : The Bank of New Zealand. The Directors have pleasure in presenting a Report and Balance-sheet, which they feel sure will be satisfactory both in respect of profits earned and as aa evidence ot the progre-s of the Company's business. As explained to the Shareholders by circular in August last, the Directora deemed it expedient to call up the uupaid subscribed Capital, as provided in the Articlei of Association, to enable them to take advantage of what former experience indicated would be a most favourable opportunity for buyers in tlio Home Markets, and otherwise to fuatcr the Company's growing buaiuesa \ aud thoy have pleasure in belug able tg
