ENGLISH V, N.S W.-RETURN MATCH-

The return match with the English Gentlemen was commenced, on 7th February, and when the Btumps were drawn in the evening tho Englishmen had scored 267 in their first inning , and two of the wicketa of the New South Walea team had fallen for 53. The play was continued on Saturday. Sydney, February Bth. The match England v.New South Wales was continued to-day. The N.S.W teim in the first innings scored 177, and in the second 18 with the loss of one wicket. Murdoch was given run out by the English umpire, and the decision was challenged by tho crowd. Much dissatisfaction was expressed, the ground was rushed, and Lord Harris was nwsauited. Play was Btopped, and will be resumed on Monday. Sydney, February 10th. In the New South Wales second innings, 49 runs were made, and the English team won in one innings by 41 runs. The heavy rain so deadened the wicket that Emmett's bowling was unplayable.
