The estate now submitted to public competition is known as BLENHEIM, and contains, as above, 3424 acres excellent agricultural land, divided by Government survey into 35 sections, varying from 80 to 110 acres each on an average, besides one section in block IV, immediately adjoining, and which contains from 200 to 300 acres of valuable bush. The owner, beiag determined to place this property absolutely in the hands of the public, has resolved to adopt the system on which the Government land sales are conducted, and which nag the effect of stimulating competition by making it obvious that every bid must be Una fide from an intending buyer — the system of naming an Upset Price at which every section will be submitted. The lowest price of Government land is forty shillings per acre. The Blenheim Estate will be offered at the Upset Price of Forty-Five Shillings per Acre. No further bid or reserve will be made on the part of the owner, and no sections will be withdrawn.
