SAWYERS' BAY.
Tho annual meeting of the residents of Sawyers' B?y, for the purpose of .electing a 'School Committee, w s held on Monday evening. A fair attendance of householders was present, and Mr O. Ros^ occuoied the chair. The annual reDort and balance-sheet havmc boen read and adopted, the following gentlemen we r e elected as a Committee for the current year : -Messrs J. A. Connell. W. Thomson, J. Morris, 6. Row, W. Menzies. \V. Nelson, and J. Crickmore. The oroceedings terminated by a vote of tha iks to the chairman. BLUESKIN. The annuml election of the BlnesWn Main DM/rict School Committee took place on the 27th inst. There was a good at'endince. The clerk, Mr Wm Pwllar, re^d the clauses of the Act referring to thn election. The Rev. Mr Finlayson wa*) then appointed chairman. The retort aud balance-sheet were read, the balance In hand bw £25 18* BJd. Prior to the adoption of the repoH a^d balanceBheet, some information was clven by the Chairman as to tbe aitendancn of the different members of Coramttteo, which being considered sati-fact'ir I.1 '. the adoption of the documents was agreel to unanimously. Perry were appointed ihe Committee for the next 12 months. BALMERSTOK The annual elec^on of School Committee took nlace on the 27th. in the echoolhou°e, but very litHe interest was taken by the inhabitants, the attendance heing very oparae Mr R. N. Beid presided. The following were returned unopposed :— Messrs R. N. Reid, 0. Haynes, J. M'Kenn, J. M'Donald, J. Kitchen, Alex. Gimore, and Jas. Arkle. MOERAKf. At the annual meeting for the election of School Committee at Moeraki, for the ensuing year, Messrs Calling. Mercer. Munr\ Nicholson, Henderson, Gibb, and Simmons were chosen by ballot. OAMARU. ' The election of the School Committee passed off very quietly. Tho following were elected : —n. S. Montagu, N. Fleming F. Dun lop, A. Herdinan, W. J. Smith/D. Hay, and J. T, Evans. WAIPORJ.
