Accidents and Offences.
A boy 13 years old, named William Lloyd, convicted of petty larceny from a dwelling at Wetherstones, wa3 committed on the 17th by Mr Carew, R.M., to the Industrial School for 12 months. A buggy and pair of horses, belonging to Mr Thomas Power, iivery-stable keeper of Maolaggan street, bolted at North Dunedin on Sunday evening, resulting in the vehicle being considerably damaged, and one of the horses seriously injured. The buggy had been hired for the day by a man whose name is at present unknown. The runaway horses were brought to a standstill at the corner of Union and Leith streets, when they were found to be driverless.
