London, Augu«tl6th. The Australians played against Lancashire. The first innings of Lancashire closed for 97. The Australian score is one out for 100. Spofforth obtained nine wicket 3. The fielding of the Australians generally waa good.

London, August 15th. The Australians commenced their match against eleven of Lancashire to-day. The local team were the first to go the wickets, their innings closing for 97. Spofforth obtained nine wickets. When the stumps were drawn for the day the Australians had lost one wicket for 101. The fielding of the Australians was generally good, London, undated.
