THE WAIPA ELECTION.
fßr Telegraph.] Alexandra, July 24th. The Waipa election passed off quietly here. M'Minn polled 41 and Whitaker 22. At Paturangi the voting was— M'Minn 16, Whitaker 2. (FBOM V OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, July 24th. Tho Waipa election has caused great excitement. Special trains ran from Auckland to Mercer to poll the Auckland voters. M'Minn's return may now be considered certain. Only the Raglan returns, have to come in, which will increase his majority. The number* are— WhiUker 220, M'Minn 233.
