To Cube Chilblains. — To one ounce of kerosene oil add one grain of morphine ; good also for burns. Scotch Cakes. — One pound brown sugar, one pound flour, one-half pound butter, two eggs, one teaspoonful cinnamon ; roll very thin and bake.

Dyspepsia.- -A simple and effective remedy for dyspepsia is to abstain from drinking immediately before and during meals, and for an hour afterwards. Also, use no milk in either tea or coffee.

Crumpets. — Three cupfuls raised dough, work into it one-half cupful softened butter, three eggs, and mix sufficient to make a stiff batter ; turn into buttered pans and let it remain fifteen minutes before baking ; bake for half an hour.
