AMERICAN CORAL.

A new industry has been started in Mano> field, Massachusetts, by lviuguaan and Hodges. It ia no less thaa the manufacture of jewellery out of pour milk. This seems a ntrsmge anomaly, but it is a fact. The milk comes in the ahape of curd from tho butter and cheese-making counties in New Yoik, and looks upon its arrival a great deal like popped corn ; but before it leaves their shop it undergoes a wonderful change, and receives the name of American coral. Tho secret in making it up is carefully guarded, but is certain that ib has to be heated very hot, dudng which colouring matter is introduced, followed by a very heavy pressure. Some of it ia coloured black and called jet, while soma appear.i as celluloid. It makes very handsome jewellery, and is mad 6 into all kinds and styles known in the trade.
