Termi for the establishment of a special settlement in Taranaki have been agreed upon between tb.3 Waste Lands Board of the district and a settler named A. C. Fookes. The area is to be 5000 acre", and the price £1 per acre, of which 10 per cent, i<» to Daid within six months of the survey, a similar amount two years afterwards, and the remaining tenths at intervals of a year.
