THE DUNEDIN YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

The first meeting of the new Bosr.l of Management of the Dunedin Young Men'g Christian Association was held in their Rooms, in Princes street, en the Bth, at which nearly all the members were present. The Board, as now constituted, consists of Messrs James Fulton, John Douglas, Archibald Barr, A. S. Paterson, Arthur Scoiillar, J. C. Gibb, Thos. B. Low, Captain William Thomson, Stswart Frazer, H. Webb, and the Revs. James Kirkland and J. M. Innes. Mr Fulton was unanimously chosen to fill the office of President, and Messrs Douglas and Pateraon were elected for Vice-Preaident3 ; MrScoullar was appointed honorary Treasurer, and the duty of honorary Secretary was laid upon Mr Gibb. The meeting then proceeded to the fixing of the following Standing Committees :— (1) Devotional, (2) Executive, (3) Lectures, &ci, and (4) Recreations. AmoDgsf the correspondence read was a letter from Invercargill, inviting Mr Wright, General Secretary, to be present at the anniversary meeting of the Invercargill Young Men's Christian Association, to be held oa 24th inst. ; and one from Oamaru, inviting the Secretary to take part in special meetings to be held in that town nfext month. Both letters were referred to the Executive Committee. The usual monthly accounts were passed for payment. It was resolved that the Board meetings should be held on the first Friday of each month, at 7.30. The question of the anaual tea meeting of members and their friends was remitted to the Recreation Committee, with tho recommendation that ifc be held early in September, so that Mr Dick, who is goii»g Home, might be present. After adding two membors to the. roll, the meeting was closed.
