Aehowtown, August 2nd. Cobb and Co.'s (Mr Bastii.g3's) line of coaches successfully made its first journey from Dunedin in two days. The coach arrived here at a quarter past 5 p.m., and at Queenstown shortly after 7. _ The weather is very severe. Mining operations are mostly all suspended. There are immense accumulations of ice at the head-waters of the Arrow River. The Twelve-mile Creek, above Macetown, is scarcely passable for foot passengers. The Government have not sold the Arrow mi*"*? property as threatened. Ine bailiff is still in possession. The Company threaten to prosecute the bailiff for illegal seizure.
