THE RIDDLE COMPETITION.
We must confess that we are not altogether pleased with the result of the competition. Only eight adults and seven young folks entered. We expected at least three times the number. Mr John Gr. Smith, Longbush, of the adults, is awarded the prize of one dozen fine water-colour views for the best four Original Puzzles ; and Master James Christie, Keithmore Farm, Warepa, of the juveniles, is awarded, as a prize for the best four Original Puzzles, " A Voyage Round the World," a tale for boys (illustrated), by W. H. Gr. Kingston._ Thanks for contributions to Abel Warburton, Fitzgerald 8., W. C. K.
