The Dunedin Jockey Club having referred to the sporting editor of the Australasian the question of the penalty Guy Fawkes has incurred far the Dunedin Cup, the following is the reply of that journal : — " He has to carry 71b extra only, because penalties are not cumulative unless it is expressly stated that they are to be so." According to this decision Guy Fawkes will carry lOst 21b, as will be seen above.
