Auckland, September 25th. A fire broke out in M'Garrigle's photographic establishment, above Milnea and Chase's drapery shop. It was extinguished before it had extended beyond the upper storey ; but considerable damage was done. M'Garriglo's stock was insured for £1000 in the Standard Company, but was partly reinsured in the Transatlantic. Milnes was insured for £3200 in various offices. Lyttelton, September 26th. At the meeting of the Regatta Committee for 1876, held last evening, it was resolved ! that the following should be the prizes for the three principal events in the Regatta : — Champion Sailing li.ace, for veßaelß under 150 tons, first prize; £100; second, £10. Champion Yacht Race, first prize, £75 and, silver cup. luterprovincial Champion Race, in four-oared racing whaleboats, first prize, £50. These races are to be open to all comers.
