THE CRIMINAL CALENDAR.

The following is the calendar of prisoners for trial at the next criminal sessions of the Supreme C»urt at Dunedin, commencing Monday, the 2nd day of October, 11876, before His Honour Mr Justice Williams.

John Mason, stealing in a dwelling-house at Dunedin.

Charles Burke, alias Berg, stealing iron at Dunedin.

Ah Youk, stealing money and goods from a dwelling-house at Arrowtown. Thomas Griffin Green, larceny at Port Chalzrers.

Robert, alias Edward, Butler, alias Donnelly, burglary at Dunedin (G charges). Thomas, alias Charles Henry, Kail, forging and uttering at Lawrence, Tokomairiro, and Dunedin (3 charges). James Robertson, unmentionable offence at Shag Valley. John Lews Home, forging and uttering at Oamaru (4 charges). Robert Dutton Lee, aiding and abetting to commit forgery.

ON BAIL. James Dickensou, perjury at Dunedin. George Bell, libel st Dunedin. William Marsh all, rape at Dunedin (2 charges). Joseph Cawthine, larceny as a bailee at Palmerston. Frederick William Walters, stealing iron at Dunedin.

The regular meeting of tho St. Paul's Young Men's Association was held in the Vestry on the 22nd; the President (Yen. Archdeacon Edwards) in the chair. Two papers, on " Education " and "Theology in the Poets," from Ike Society's Quarterly Magazine, were read and discussed. It was announced that the next paper would be. given by Mr J. ABhcroft,
