FAT STOCK EXHIBITION,
In answer to advertisements calling a meeting of gentlemen favourable towards the forming of a Christmas Fat Stock Exhibition a number of gentlemen met in the Criterion Hotel on the 13 th. inst. Mr J. Kobtsrts, M.P.C., occupied the chair; and the subject was discussed by those present who were desirous of forming a Society. It AVas resolved to establish a Society, to be called " The Chri&tnias Fat Stock Exhibition." MrW. J. M. Larnach was appointed President, and Mr E. Menlove Vice-President. The following were elected a Committee : — Messrs John Stephenson, John Maclean, H. Driver, John Eoberts, C. Smith, H. Campbell, T. Brydone, James Shand, David Grant, Jas. Allan, E. B. Cargill, G. M. Bell, J. F. Kitohing, James Smith (of Greenfield), D. Corean, W. Cumine, W. L. Philp, W. G. Maitlaud, P. Smith (Inch-Clutha), John Roid (Elderslio), i John Jloid (Corner Bush), Hon. M. Holmes, — Houfcter, M'Leod Obeli, Neil Fleming, F, IP, Hich, and J. Dovgha,
