Waste Lands Boards.

LICENSE TO OCCUPY. Application was made by Edward Boyd,~ under clause 161 of th"c Waste Lands Act, 1872. to occupy section 4, Block IX., KaifcangaU district, for a term of seven yoars for grazing purposes, at £10 per annum. It was stated that the land in question was a cohl reserve, and the Board decided to gefc the Ranger's opinion as to whether it should be sold or not. INCREASED PBICE OF SECTIONS. The Board decided it to be advisable to rai-.e the price of town and suburban allotments. The Chief Cojisussioner remarked that the price mi^ht be raised, as the railways had increased the value of land. *^t. It was agreed to raise the price of front sections to £8, and the back ones to £5. WAIPAHEE DISTRICT. Mi HV. H. S. Roberts made application to purchase spctions 70 and 71, Block VII., Wtttpaheo District, to complete his property and save him the expense of a fresh survey on the boundary line. The Board having no power, through the land being proclaimed under the' deferred payment system, the application was refused. GBEIBNDAI-E. Mr C. Aaton requested the Board to grant him an acre of village reserve, at Greendale, at the upset price, for a site for a smithy. A minute was recorded that the Govern* I ment be asked to get the township cut up into sections. RUN 463, Mr G. II 11I 1 Martin wrote asking that run 46*3 should be again submitted to auction. The Board w ere powerless to deal with the matter now, it being closed, mahtin's day. Phillip Loudin applied to purchase section 17, block 11., Martin's Bay, at £1 aa aur«j. Granted. BUSH RFSEItVE. Mr S. Athey and others applied that the road line should be reserved through Mr Thomas Nutsford'a application, as leading to a bush, reserve. It was stated that the land in question is now being surveyed, with the understanding that due care will be taken in reserving the roads, AKATOHP, DISTRICT.
