CAMELLIAS.

I To any persons visiting Paramatta, esl pecially strangers to tho colony, a visit to Mr Sheather's garden now will well repay lan hour's examination. It is aptly termed Camellia Grove, for here, to a greater dogree pehaps than in any other part of Australia, are those magnificent floral gems to be seen in perfection, from tiny seedlings, new to the horticulturist, up to grandly developed trees, some twenty feet in height, with their dark green foliage, serving as a background to . exquisite flowers of almost every hufy : The collection, embraces oyer 800 treei,

and include several varieties, first raised by Mr Sheather, and those known amongst connoisseurs as one of his seedlings are amongst the most prized of their land. At the late show at the Exhibition the first prize was awarded to the camellias from this garden ; and as a proof of their variety, we saw, yesterday, a bouquet from there containing about sixty blooms, each of a distinct kind. — Sydney Herald.
