Telegraphing from Arrow on the 29tb, oar correspondent says :— " The newt from Skipper*' reefs it highly favourable. The Phoenix tributors we said to bo on richer •tone than ever. Mr F. Evans ia getting on quickly with the repairs to the fiuming. Crashing operations will be commenced in a fortnight. Southberg and Co., the adjoining olaim-holders, have also strnck very good stone. The Nugget and Cornish Company have not struok the reef in the new tunnel yet, owing to operations being delayed for want of powder. The winter appears to have broken up, and fine warm weather has set in. The roads are improving fast. Active measures are being taken to co-operate with Invercargill, so as to secure the early completion of the Winton and Kingston Railway.
