Melbourne, May 29th. The business of the Parliamentary session has scarcely commenced, but a Mining .oa Private Property Bill was introduced, and a motion for the reduction of inland postage Was discussed and withdrawn. The Treasurer stated the present loss on inland postage was £100,000. The Government intend submitting resolutions relative to the annexation of New Guinea by the Imperial Government. It is probable an expedition will proceed from Melbourne shortly. An outbreak of typhoid fever has occurred at Kew, several deaths have taken place. Mr Thomas M'Kellar having resigned his neat in the Council, Mr Samuel Wilson, of Ercildown, is a candidate. A quack doctor named Bolherill his been fined £10 for practising without qualifications.
