THE HIGH SCHOOL.

Mr Alexander Wilson has been appointed Englißh Master of the High School. \t an adjourned meeting of the Education Board, held on Tuesday (memberspresent—HisHonour the Superintendent, in the chair, and Messrs Reid and Turnbull) consideration was given to a minute cf the High School Board of Advice. The Secretary, Mr Hislop, presented the minute, which r*'C">m« mended the appointment of Mr Alexander Wilson, M.A., of Aberdeen, to the position of English Master of the High School, and of Mr Edmond De Montalk as French visiting master. Tho Board came to tho following conclusion :—": — " That in accordance with the recommendation of the Board of Advice, Mr Alexander Wilson, M.A.. ■ He appointed English Maeter in tho High School, and that the salnry be according to the terras specified in the *>rmer report of the Board of Advice ; and that Mr K. D. Mod. talk, 8.A., bo appointed Visiting Freuch Master to the Scbool on such term* as may hereafter be mutually agreed upon; that lioth appointments be for one year, and terminable thereafter at six months' notice on either side." Tho terms referred to provide for a fixed salary of £900 per year, and onetwelfth of the school fees, Tne meeting was adjourned for the transaction of ordinary business till Monday next. Mr W'lson was educated at tho Grammar School of Aberdeen, and afterwards at the University of that city.
