Clayton and Shuttleworth have received first prizes at every trial of the Royal Agricultural Society at which they have competed since 1849 ; and on three occasions in 1 succession — namely, at Bury St. Edmunds, in 1867 ; at Oxford, in 1870 ; and at Cardiff as above, they have been awarded all the first prizes offered for steam engines.
