ALL SAINTS' CHURCH.

The annual meeting of the parishioners of All Saints' Church took place in the Church on the 13th inst., the Rev. R. L. Sauford presiding. The annual rej^ort was as follows : — " The Churchwardens and Vestry of All Saints' submit their Annual Report and Balance Sheet for 1873, which, notwithstanding a marked increase in the income of the Church, shews a deficit of £100 6s Id — owing principally to the heavy calls on the funds for Church extension and charges consequent thereon. They have to congratulate the congregation on the permanent enlargement of the building, providing additional accommodation and comfort compared with the old portion. This will produce a 1 vrge addition to the revenue from pew rents and offertories — both of which are in excess of last year's amount obtained from same, notwithstanding that the new part of the Church has only been opened three months. The Stipend Fund Collection has been somewhat prejudiced owing to calls on the liberality of the parishionerd and others for the Building Fund. The Churchwardens and Vestry tender their hearty thanks to contributors towards the fund. During the year the parsonage property haa been enlarged and improved, and may be considered a good investment and asset of the Church." Tlie report was adopted. The Building (Joinmittee reported as follows : — "The Committee beg to by the accompanying report of their receipts and expenditure before the members of the Church, by which it will be seen tbat the amount collected is about onehalf of that required to pay for the additions that have been made to the Church. Although it is very gratifying to see so large an amount subscribed, the Committee would remind the congregation that much yet remains to be done. Whilo congratulating the congregation on the completion of the Church extension, the Committee are awa-e that they have considerably exceeded the sum proposed to be expended at the meeting held in March, 1873. It became evident during the progress of the work, that it would be impossible satisfactorily to accomplish the undertaking without an increased expenditure, the tender for the mere shell of the building amounting to the sum authorised to be expended, tue remainder being made up of furniture necessary for the internal fittings of the building." The total cost ot the Church extension, as shown by a statement annexed to the Report, was £1981 12s 9d. Subscriptions had been paid to the extent of £710 3s, and promised to the amount of £262 9s, leaving a balance to be yet to be raised of £1003 0s 9d. The report, with the statement, was adopted. Mr A. D. Lubecki was chosen clergyman's churchwarden, and Mr W, M. Hodgkins parochial churchwarden. The vestry, as elected, is as follows : — Messrs DA. Haggitt, Howlison, M'Laren, Bathgate Slater, Jack, Leary, Statham, Black, and Petbit. The best thanks of the congregation were accorded to the owners of the schoolhouse for the very liberal terms upon which they had placed the building at the disposal of the vestxy, and the action of the vescry in the matter was confirmed. It was resolved that the vestry be authorised to negotiate at par debentiirea of £5 each to the amount of £1000, bearing interest at the rate of eight per cent, per annum payable half-yearly, the said debenti\res to be payable at three months on demand and to be transferable by endorsement ; that an amount equal to. one-tenth of the sum that shall have been borrowed, and interest payable for the year, shall be annually appropriated out of the iunds o£ the church, and shall be a first charge upon the same, for the purpose of providing a fuud for the payment of the interest on and redemption of the debentures. The question of the organ was brought up and adjourned. Shortly before eleven o'clock tUfi nwetinc closed,
