THE VOLUNTEERS.
The seventh competition of the "Wakari Rangers for Captain. Flexman's Challenge Cup, took place on the morning of the 15th in at. There was a Btrong head wind throughout the firing, requiring the competitors to allow for about thirty yards more elevation than usual in their sighting at the 600 yards. The conditions on which this cup is shot for are :— Ranges : 200, 400, and 600 yards ; five shots at each range ; any position ; Wimbledon targets. On the present occasion, however, it was agreed to I adopt any position at the 200, for the purpose of giving practice for the Representative firing. As will be seen from the scores, Sub-Lieutenaut Mackenzie is the winner. The following are the scores of those who made forty points and over :—: — 200 400 600 Tl Lieut. Mackenzie 18 .. 16 .. 16-60 Vol. Lacov 17 .. 10 ■• 14-47 Vol.Frasor 18 •• 16 .. 12-46 Liout. Marshall 17 .. 15 .. 8-40
