A sea-dog was captured in the Manukau a few days ago, and has been on exhibition in Auckland. It is described as about four feet long, with, nippers for forelegs and two hind-legs, web-footed, on which it can stand erect, and a " somewhat extraordinary" tail. Its chief enjoyment seems to consist in having salt water poured on its back, but on seeing a hat or a stick it stands up and shows light, It is said to be. quite young
