NORTH TAIERI PLOUGHING MATCH.

The Bth inst.— on whioh day the North Taieri match was held this season opened inauspiciously, snow showers and a biting blast testing the tempera of men and horses. Towards the afternoon, however, the weather became more settled, and a large number of persons were attracted to the field. Nineteen ploughs, of which seven were juniors, contested. The teams—large powerful Clydesdales, bred in the district— were the theme of admiration. Those belonging to Messrs Muir, Shaw, and G. Warnock, especially, could not be surpassed. The judges were — Messrs fl. Wilson, Sinclair, and Robertson, East and West Tuieri.
