A man named Do ' Bourbol has claimed tho Government reward of L2OO for the diaooyery of * payablo goldoeld "in tho Itakaia and Mtuvorn dwlrioto.'
The precise looality he ; has not divulged, but he asserts that 40 ounces of gold nave been obtained "from two months'. crushing withsledg* hammers. Considerable excitement prevails here in consequence of his report.
