The Markets.
DUNEDIN TRADE BEPOBT. Otago Witness Office, July Bth, 1864. There is little to be said about business since otir last report, excepting that it hns been limited in extent. The continued hi ih rates of cartage, and | the bad state of the roads, render it impossible to execute the orders which are coining in. There is now no doubt of the fact that stocks are greatly j reduced in the interior, and as there is little prospect of an immediate reduction in the rates of cartage, the probability is that provisions will shortly rule high on the gold fields.
