[The following Summary of Intellig. nee received hy the Lady Bird which arrived yesterday, was published in an Extra Editiou of the Daily Timks.] Daily Times OrFiCE, Friday, 2 p.m. The Lady Bird lett Wellington on Wed nesday, the 22nd, and brings news from A'ick land to the 12th, and Taranaki to the 13th. Every preparation is being made for atticking the Waikato district. Two thousand troops have been concentrated on the Auckland frontier. Notice has been given to the friendly natives in Auckland that they must remain indoors after dark, or be apprehended. All the natives in the district vtiihin the fronti r are directed ,to give up their arms and take the oath, of allegiance, or retura into the Waikato. Numbers are consequently leaving. The Waikatos are throwing trees into the river to prevent the passage of the Settler, shortly expected. Everything betokens a speedy movement in that district. The whole of the firat-class Militia is called out for active service, and cavalry corps are forming. Nothing of importance from Taranaki. The half-cist had also been tried for the attack on Lieut. Waller, and sentenced to penal servitude for life. The hanging sentence, it is believed, will not be carried out, from the doubt as to there being legal evidence sufficient to warrant the jury's finding of murder. All quiet at Wellington and Wanganui. Waters is committed for selling powder : and also nine soldiers engaged in the late outbreak. The Wonga was hourly expected at Wellington from the North, with the date of the Assembly's meeting in Auckland.
