The following are the Qualification of Voters :— Every man of the age of 21 years or upwards. 1- Havinsr a Freehold Estate in possession situate within the District for which the vote is claimed of tbe clear value of £50 above all charges and incumbr&nces and of or to which he has been seised or entitled either at Law or in Equity for at least six calendar months before the !K)th of Apiil ; or 2. Having a Leasehold Estate in possession situate •within such District of the clear annual value of ten bounds, held upon a Lease, -which on 30th April shall pot have less than 8 years to run, or of which he has neen in possession for 3 years or upwards next before 80th April; or 3. Being a Householder within such District occupying a Tenement Jind residing therein six calendar months previous to the 30th April, if within the limits of Dunedin, of the clear annual value of ton pounds, and if without the limits of Dunedin of the clear annual value of five pounds ; 4. Being the holder of a Miner's rght not less than three months before the 30th of April, in any goldiield duly constituted under the Gold Fields Act. jiust be sent to the Registrar's Office before the 31st March. DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICTS OF DUNEDIN, BRUCE, AND IIAMPDEN, WITHIN REFERRED TO. I.'CXTV op Dunedin. — The Town of Dunedin as originally laid out by the New Zealand Company, including the Town Belt. S. Bruce. — Is bounded on the north by the Har.vpden District, from the mouth of the Waikouaiti Biver to the confluence of the Minzionburn and Clutha River; thence by a line to the summit of I Mount Spvlaw; thence down the Spylawburn to its confluence w-ith the Pomohaka River ; thence on the west by the Pomahnka River to tne .confluence of the WVapalu Creek; thence by the Waipani Creek to t2ie confluence of the Kawera •Creek ; thence by a line to the" Otaria Peak ; thence on the south-west by a line to Cattlin's Cone ; thence by Cattlin's River to the sea ; and thence by the sea to Waikouaiti River — excepting the city of Dunedin. 3. Hampdhn. — Is bounded on the north and northtast by the Heathcote and Timaru Districts ; on the north-we3t by the sea; on the south-west and south by a line from the head of Milford Haven to the Waikatipu Lake; thence by that Lake to the Kawarau*.* River ;-Jhence" byJtha^. The following rule for the regulation of sawyers is published for troncral information : That no sawyer shall be allowed to cut within 50 yards of any adjoining- pit, nor beyond 50 yards iiotn that in his own occupation. The respective tenders must contain the address which will find tbe tenderer by po<-t, and must be written on foolscap paper, in a plain, legible hand, and lodged in the Superintendent's Office, Dunedin, on or before the days mentioned below. All plans, &c, in connection with Roads and Bridges, will be seen at the Road Ofiice, and those relating to Public Buildings, at the office of Public Buildings, Dunedin ; and if they are to be seen at any other place, it will be notified in the advertisement.
